Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Kompres processes when you upload a PDF, what the service does not require, and where the privacy limits are.

1. What we process

Kompres processes the PDF file you upload, the compression level you select, and technical request data needed to return the compressed file. The service is built for the narrow purpose of reducing file size and returning a downloadable result.

2. No account requirement

Kompres does not require an account for core compression features. You can use the tool without creating a profile, which means the site does not need routine account data such as usernames, passwords, or billing details for normal PDF compression.

3. How files are handled

Uploaded files are handled as part of the active compression request and returned to you as a generated download. The application does not provide a user-facing file library, archive, or dashboard for storing past uploads.

4. Security and operational logs

We use standard web transport protections for traffic to the site. Like most web services, the hosting and runtime environment may keep limited operational logs such as request timing, error events, or basic technical metadata needed for reliability and abuse prevention. Those logs are not intended to function as document storage.

5. Retention limits and practical caution

Kompres is designed for quick processing rather than long-term file retention. Even so, no online compression service should be treated as the right place for highly confidential, regulated, or irreplaceable documents unless you are comfortable with server-side processing.

6. Policy updates

We may update this policy when service behavior, legal requirements, or security practices change. Major updates will be reflected on this page.
