How to combine multiple JPG images into one PDF
Sending photos one by one is slow and the order always gets scrambled. This is the JPG to PDF workflow I actually use, mistakes included.
One PDF beats a folder of images
I have lost count of how many times someone sent me a dozen photos as a dozen separate attachments. Half of them fail to send, the order gets scrambled, and I end up downloading everything one by one. A quick JPG to PDF conversion fixes all of that at once: the page order locks in, the file opens on any device, and pretty much every email client or upload form accepts it.
This is also why HR portals and government forms keep asking for PDF specifically. They do not want your loose images — they want one document where nothing can go missing. So before you attach ten JPGs to that application, think about doing a simple JPG to PDF merge first. Future you will thank present you.
Get the order right before converting
The most common mistake (made it myself, more than once): running the JPG to PDF conversion first, then realizing page 3 should have been page 1. Arrange your images in the exact order you want the pages to appear before you hit the button.
Naming files 01, 02, 03 helps a bit, but honestly it is clunky and breaks the moment you insert a photo. A decent JPG to PDF tool lets you reorder visually with thumbnails instead. That is the version worth using.
Keep the final PDF small
Photos straight off a phone camera can make the combined PDF huge, which is annoying when the whole point was sending it by email. If size matters, compress the images before the JPG to PDF step — shrinking each JPG slightly often halves the final PDF, and you cannot tell the difference by looking.
